Sponsor Alice Troop
Alice troop are fun, large and ready for release if we could find them a suitable, safe habitat. We recently used some of the adult females in Alice Troop to bond orphan babies to; Alice, Caley-Thistle and Violet adopted Apollo, Oakley and Quinn who are enjoying life in the large troop.
The troop is named after Alice, a sweet female in the troop.
With lots of males in this troop it's vital that their enclosure is large, easy to manage and clean. It has several areas in the enclosure whereby sliding doors can manipulate the various access to different areas which can be cleaned and enriched.
Some of the lower-ranked females and young Oakley seem to get easily stressed in this troop; possibly because some of the larger males Billy-Bob, Womble and Beau can be quite dominant so the right balance of nutrition to keep them happy and healthy is essential.
You can help keep these special baboons happy and healthy with a weekly or monthly contribution! Please show your support and give them the care they need whilst awaiting freedom.
Adult male "Flash" has a permanent scar on his head as a reminder of a painful past. Quinn, a road traffic victim had seizures shortly after arrival; we weren't sure he was going to make it.... but with the right medication and rehabilitation journey he is now healthy and fully accepted into the troop. Alice troop has a lot of males and so enough food is really important as competition is high.

72 (min) eggs per week - R210

It would be incredible to have someone cover all the weekly costs but understand that it isn't always financially feasible; therefore we hope to build up a few sponsors for this troop to help cover the costs monthly. If you can give whatever amount you can, we will search for others and hope that between you we can cover the costs of caring for this gorgeous troop of baboons as they under-go their rehabilitation for release journey.
