walkingforbaboons 2017

WITH A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE TEAM AROUND THE WORLD OF WALKERS, VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISERS AND GENEROUS SPONSORS WE BOUGHT OUR LIFE SAVING ULTRA SOUND MACHINE!

Many people rallied together to help and as a result, so many lives with promising futures are saved!

With a special thanks to Anneka Svenska for her supportive video, Francesca Jeffery for driving the GoFundMe page and enlisting support, Sam Keegan for creating and coordinating the event to make the funds a reality and all those that walked and supported the cause!

CARE's Vet Clinic Sponsored by IPPL now has an ultrasound machine!

Recuing, Rehabilitating, and releasing baboons is what we are dedicated to at CARE and being able to save those that fall sick is essential. Losing any life is heart-wrenching for everyone- when a baboon dies the effects are perpetuated within the troop and remains in the hearts of Carers.

On Saturday the 20th of May CARE volunteers and staff took part in " Walking for Baboons" - a sponsored 26km walk from Grietjie Nature Reserve to Kruger National Park in the African sun to raise funds which enabled us to purchase an ultrasound machine for our Veterinary Clinic.

Thank you for helping us save the lives of baboons!

Thank you for making a difference!
